Design for me has become very important in recent years. When I was a teenager, I used to steal my mum´s interior design magazines, cut out those dreamy rooms and kitchen pictures, and paste the cutouts in a notebook called "my future home."
Soon after, I discovered The Sims, and like many teenagers out there, I spent way too many hours playing. Fun fact: I did not play the game itself, but rather spent all my time building houses and decorating them! Have you ever watched those Canadian TV shows in which interior designers have a certain budget to decorate a house? Well, I did kind of the same! I even spent hours downloading customized content like wall paintings, rugs and furniture to make it look as realistic as possible!
This passion for interior design has also been one of the reasons why we decided to start this blog. Both my friend and I were looking for a place where we could capture and share our ideas in order to inspire one another. Now that you´re reading this, we hope to inspire you too!
In this post, I would love to share some ideas of how my dreamy living room would look like. This is the heart of the house and the room where I spend most of my time. My essentials when decorating are wood, light, earthy colors, big plants, a vintage console if possible and above all, a carpet. I think a room it's not cozy enough without one! My favorite designs are orientals and kilims.
