Today, I want to share with you one of my last hobbies. I also think it has been one of the most popular activities during this lockdown: painting. I firmly believe one of the positive outcomes of this situation is how creative, sporty and passionate about cooking we have all become! Perhaps we would've never had time to try out those activities due to our busy daily life.
When it comes to me, I have never been as interested in painting as this past month and I have discovered that it relaxes me much more than reading or doing yoga.
I still don't know what my style is yet and I am aware that proportions often fail, especially drawing the human body. If you look at some of the pictures I've attached so far, the arms look like they're made of rubber lol!
Still, I am happy to slowly discover which styles I like to paint the most and, above all, techniques and tools. In the drawings attached I have used both watercolor and gouaches and the second one is my favorites so far. I like it when the painting is opaque and light does not get through.
I have also bought oil paintings and frames in order to hang my two favorite ones. I will share with you the result soon as well as how they look in the room.
So go ahead! Jump into new activities whether it's cooking your favorite restaurants recipe, painting, planting fresh herbs and seeing how they grow or reading that book that has been laying on the shelf! There is no better time than now to connect with ourselves and do all the things we never had time for!
